Question:
I have a 2027 Kia Telluride without a hitch or trailer wiring. We're getting a small camper with electric brakes, and I'd like to use the Redarc Tow-Pro Link so I don't have to drill a hole in the dash. Can I use it without the factory towing package, and what else do I need?

Hey Daniel! Yes, you can use the Redarc Tow-Pro Link on your 2027 Kia Telluride without the factory towing package. Since you don't have a hitch or trailer wiring, I recommend the following:
-Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C948RD
-Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236
-etrailer Trailer Brake Controller Installation Kit # e556GR
-Redarc Tow-Pro Link Brake Controller # RED57AR
-etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR
-etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar # e38FV
The # C59236 adds a 4-way, then the # e556GR upgrades it to a 7-way with the rear USCAR connection needed for the Link. You'll still need to install the lighting harness and run power from the battery, but you won't have to run brake controller wiring through the firewall.
The Link plugs in-line behind the 7-way, with its main unit mounted near the hitch. Its USB-powered remote mounts inside with the included adhesive, so there's no drilling into the dash. The adjustable ball mount lets you get your trailer level and works with 2" or 2-5/16" couplers. Then the anti-rattle collar tightens up the connection between the ball mount and receiver.
What kind of camper will you be towing?

We're looking at a Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro. I really like that the Link doesn't require the extra wiring or mounting anything on or in my dash.
