Question:
Hello. I have a AL-KO 8700 hub, with a max diameter of 10.090. 5x4.5 studs. With 1/2-20 lugs. Well, some studs got cross threaded and need replacement. Can you please tell me which studs will fit this hub the best?

Hey Mark, I can help you out with that.
We have several replacement wheel studs that will work for your AL-KO 8700 hub. All three options below have 1/2"-20 threads and approximately 0.54" knurl diameters, but the knurl lengths are different:
- # RG03-060: 1-7/8" overall length, 0.26" knurl length.
- # K12WB169: 1-11/16" overall length, 0.68" knurl length.
- # K12WB2: 2" overall length, 0.42" knurl length.
I'd recommend removing one of your damaged studs and measuring its overall length, knurl diameter, and knurl length with a digital caliper. The knurl is the ridged section that presses into the hub, so matching those measurements is important for a secure fit.
One of these options may be a match. A slightly different overall length can sometimes work, provided there's enough thread engagement and clearance, but you'll want the knurl dimensions to match as closely as possible to ensure the stud fits securely in your hub.
If you can send me those measurements, I'd be happy to help narrow down the best replacement!
