Bottom Dimensions of Attwood PowerGuard Battery Box For Tray Fitment
Updated 10/19/2026 | Published 10/16/2026 >
Question:
The tray on my trailer has an 8.25 width for the base of the battery case. What is the dime sion of this battery box at the base? The width width noted in the specs only states with lid. The interior specs will hold the battery, I just need confirmation that it will fit in the space provided on the rv at its base. Length and height are fine.

Hey Chris! The bottom of the Attwood PowerGuard Battery Box measures 7-1/2" x 15-3/4". This will fit your existing 8-1/4" space so you will be able to use this on your trailer. See the attached photo.
What kind of trailer do you have?

We have a 2020 Sporttrek 333VFK. When we started our 2 week vacation, once unplugged from the house, everything was dead. Replacing 2 Trojan 165 6v batteries with one Redodo 12.8, 320Ah battery. And the incpverter (old one doesn't do lithium) and adding an MPPT controller and DC to DC charger, as well. Solar panels to come after the pain of this purchase subsides! :-)
