Can the WFCO Converter and Distribution Panel WF86FR Be Rewired to Isolate it From the Inverter?

I am looking to install a 3000 watt inverter in my TRAILER. To avoid placing the Converter in a “loop” batteryinverterAC panelconverterbatteryetc can I rewire this Converter into a Auto-Transfer Switch that isolates it from the Inverter?

You sure can Jim! You can definitely rewire the AC input to the WFCO Auto Detect RV Converter and AC/DC Distribution Panel item # WF86FR to isolate it from your inverter by installing an automatic transfer switch.
For a 3,000 watt inverter, I recommend the Victron MultiPlus-II Inverter Charger item # VN43VR.
Since the WFCO item # WF86FR is a 30 amp converter, you'll want the Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch item # 34264403.
We also have the Go Power ASW Series Advanced Sine Wave Inverter with Transfer Switch item # GP44XR. This is a 3,000 watt inverter with a built in automatic transfer switch.

Hi Jerred, The idea is to power all the 120volt loads in the Trailer except for the Air Conditioner, which may draw more than the Inverter is capable of at initial start up load. I have already installed 2x 6 volt AGM batteries in series and we are hoping to last several days, perhaps a week without Shore-Power utilizing only the 200 watt solar panels to recharge the battery bank. Thoughts?
