Question:
I'm replacing the tongue jack on my travel trailer and looking at your electric jack with the SnapPad. Can it be mounted sideways? My truck's tailgate hits the head of our current jack, and I'd like to be able to open it without unhitching.

Hey Tyler! The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ SnapPad can be rotated for tailgate clearance. You'll rotate the entire jack which will angle it back and away to make room for your tailgate to drop. This applies to both versions:
-etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ SnapPad - 3,500 lbs # e356GR
-etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ SnapPad - 5,000 lbs # e956GR
It won't be a true 90º mounting position because of the triangular mounting pattern, but customers have found with similar models that angling the head back gives them the extra clearance needed to lower their tailgate.
What truck and trailer do you have?

It's a Ford F-150 pulling a Jayco Jay Flight. Rotating the jack looks like it will help, but I might still need a little more room to get the tailgate all the way down.
