How Far From The Crossbars Will The Fishing Rods Sit With Rhino Rack Rod Carrier On Roof Rack?

Question:
I have a 2010 Chevy Avalanche with a factory installed roof luggage rack bars. What are the measurements in inches from where the rods rest on the Rhino rack to the top of the luggage rack bars?

Hey Floyd!
The distance from where the fishing rods rest in the Rhino-Rack # RR576F down to the top of the roof-rack crossbar is approximately 3-5/8". The carrier itself is about 6" tall overall.
Since your 2010 Chevy Avalanche already has the factory crossbars running side-to-side across the roof, you will not need any additional crossbars. The # RR576F uses universal clamps that fit most factory crossbars.

Should work fine. Had a set on my explorer worked fine. I had my reels face up and rest on top part of rack so wouldn't be near roof top. I to use big rods 12ft Zziplex with Daiwa SS 9000 Log spool reels, good luck. Bought this rack for my camper as the manufacturer is installing the vertically on my slide in camper. I modified them a little.

Andrew thank you so much for the reply. I have two Browning 10' footers with two Penn 850SS Reels. Also two 12' Big water Ugly Sticks. 12 other rods all 7' Fenwick Walleye rods and HMG inshore.
