Question:
I am selling my trailer and it needs new brakes. Triple axle, 7k axles, Ameratrail trailer. I told the buyer I will install new brakes before I sell it to him. He wants the cheapest brakesslip on rotor, caliper an bracket. Can you point me to the correct kit? Thanks.

Hello Tim,
Thanks for writing in.
The most cost-effective option we have will be the DeeMaxx slip-on disc brake kits. Since you have a triple-axle trailer with 7,000 lb axles, you will need 3 kits, with each kit taking care of one axle.
If you have 9/16" wheel studs, you will want 3 of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 13" Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Maxx Coating - 7K Dexter # DE49YR.
If you have 1/2" wheel studs, you will want 3 of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 13" Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Maxx Coating - 1/2" Bolts - 7K # DE34VR.
I do not have the schematics for every trailer, so you will want to verify your wheel stud size before ordering. You can measure the diameter of one of the studs, or an easy option is to take one of your lug nuts into an automotive parts store and they can tell you whether you have 1/2" or 9/16" studs.
Are you getting a new trailer, or just don't have a need for this one anymore?
