Question:
Does anyone make a front trailer hitch for carrying a spare tire for a 2020 jayco greyhawk 29mv

Expert Reply:
Hi Robert, sadly there isn’t a front mount hitch available for your 2020 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV Prestige Edition. Jayco also does not recommend adding a front hitch because it can affect airflow through the grille.
A good alternative is to use a bumper mounted hitch like the ShakeStopper Heavy Duty 2 inch Hitch Receiver for 4 inch RV Bumpers, part # MNT72VR, along with the etrailer Spare Tire Mount for Hitch, part # e98ZR. I really like the ShakeStopper for this type of setup because it uses a unique clamping design instead of load bearing U-bolts. That helps keep the hitch firmly secured to the bumper and reduces the bouncing and shaking that can happen with traditional bumper mounted hitches, especially when carrying a spare tire.
Are you looking to carry the spare tire on the front mainly to free up space on the back of the Greyhawk?
