Question:

I have a 2006 Trailstar pontoon trailer that has factory incandescent lights on it. Is there a LED replacement that has backup lights on it? The trailer currently doesnt have backup lights on it but, Im wanting to add them. I alteady know that I will have to change out the plug from a standard 4 flat to a 7 round RV type plug. My tow vehicle is already set up with a factory tow package so, I wont have to change anything there.

Welcome back James. The LED Tail Light item # STL36RB passenger side and item # STL37RB driver's side would be the correct replacements for your 2006 Trailstar pontoon trailer, however they do not have reverse lights. The closest option available that will be a comparable size that has a reverse light is the Optronics LED Hardwired Trailer Light item # OPT46KB.

The Optronics LED Hardwired Trailer Light item # OPT46KB is sold individually and measures 7-1/2" long x 3-5/16" tall x 3/4" deep. This submersible light has stop, tail, turn, and a reverse light functions. It is a surface mount design with built in holes in the surrounding bracket. You will need to drill into your Trailstar trailer's light housings to install the lights.

To convert your pontoon boat's 4-way connector to a 7-way, I recommend our etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box item # e99011. This provides you with one organized location where you can safely consolidate all of your trailer's wring connections. The kit comes with a 6" long cable attached to the 7-Way connector and has all of the ring terminals you'll need to make the connections inside the box.

I've got a 2005 Sun Tracker Party Barge 21. Do they make a make a bracket that these lights would mount on that would work on my trailer?

@JamesB That's a nice boat! Unfortunately, they do not make a mounting bracket for the Optronics LED Hardwired Trailer Light item # OPT46KB. What you can do instead is use the Dexter Light Box Guard item # DX99VC with the TecNiq Stop Tail Turn Reverse Light item # TN97AR, the TecNiq Grommet item # TN24AR, and two of the 3-Wire Pigtail for TecNiq Trailer Lights item # TN67PV. You would need to order all these parts for each of your boat trailer's rear lights.
