Question:
Looking to replace two axles getting electric brakes on one, leaf springs, hubs, etc and new tires/wheels but on your 3500 lb axles you seem to only have Dexter with a 74inch and Ill be needing 70inch as my outside to outside frame measurements is 72inch on a 2inch frame. The Dexter has the spring seats welded on to 74. Is there any other option?

Helpful Expert Reply:
All of the 3,500 lb axles like part # 35545E-ST-89 we offer have the center to center spring seats at 74 inches. We do not offer an axle with the seats placed at 72 inches as you mentioned.
An option you may want to take a look at is to weld new spring seats like part # TRSS238, onto the new axles. You should make sure this is done by a certified welder.
Another option you may wish to consider is the axle-less system like part # A35RD545E. This system will attach to any frame width and comes with the electric brake hubs, and has a 4 inch drop. For an axle-less system with no brakes you can order part # A35RD545.
