Lithium Compatible Converter Replacement for Parallax 7300 Series Model 7355

Updated 08/31/2026 | Published 08/27/2026

Question:

I have a Parallax 7300 series Model 7355 converter charger in a 2005 Forest River Sierra 5th wheel. Recently upgraded from lead acid battery to 12v 100AR lithium. As I understand, I should upgrade the charger to support 14.7v otherwise undercharging may shorten the battery life. The RV has 30 amp service. Do you have a suggestion for what I might need? The RV is in outstanding condition but used very infrequently. So I would prefer a cost effective solution. Thank-You!

Hey Rick, yes you are on the right track and you do need to replace your converter with one that has a lithium profile so that you can properly charge your new lithium batteries. What you have now is a 55 amp converter so the most cost effective solution would be the PowerMax converter part # PM94VR that will do a great job and has a lithium profile like what is needed. What made you want to upgrade to the lithium battery setup?
