Question:
I have a fantastic fan in my 2013 Winnebago. Need to replace the lift motor. It has the push pull feature. I ordered a 6010-81 and the spline doesn’t reach the lift arm. What it the correct number?

Hey Mike, the only replacement lift motors that are currently available from FanTastic roof vents is the one you tried already that doesn't match what you need. Since your RV and vent is a little older the replacement part needed for it is not available. In this situation your best option is to upgrade your FanTastic roof vent to the current design with the upgrade kit part # FV807357. Is your vent the same as what came with the Winnebago?

I had difficulty getting the spline lined up and engaged on my full replacement kit with the existing motor/vent cover. I solved it by getting some longer screws to engage the posts - and then replaced them - one at a time - with the shorter ones that pulled the plate up and engaged the spline. the problem becomes - wearing bifocal lenses - I cannot see looking 'up' directly above my head at close range, plus - one cannot see the spline engage the gear when the plate is in between. Yes, I struggled a bit, but overcame the difficulty by having my wife support the plate with a 1x2 from where she stood on the floor - until I could get the longer screws to line up and the spline lined up. (would have been nice to have both good eyes and 5 hands at times, but it is not impossible, just difficult.) I really like the new remote - can change fan direction with the controller, am seriously considering getting another upgrade kit to replace our other fantastic fan assembly.

I did use this replacement upgrade kit in my trailer. I had trouble with how it fit in the opening (I have an Airtream). I ended up up taking the guts out of the kit and putting them in the old fan housing. Everything works fine, however, you must use the remote that is included with the kit.
