Will The Lippert RV Stabilizer Jack LC68DK Work On A Wildwood Heritage Glen HL With No Rear Bumper?

Updated 08/25/2026 | Published 08/18/2026

Question:

I have a forest river wildwood heritage glen HL. Didn’t come with rear bumper but has a reciever hitch mounted to frame. Could I mount the stabilizer to it?

Hey Cheryl, thanks for reaching out. I would not mount the Lippert Quick Drop Stabilizer # LC68DK directly to the receiver hitch on your Wildwood Heritage Glen HL. Lippert specifically requires the Quick Drop mounting brackets to attach to the trailer frame rails. The rear stabilizer can be positioned anywhere between the rear axle hanger and the back of the trailer as long as it stays within the trailer's departure angle, but the receiver itself is not an approved mounting point.

The fact that your trailer has no rear bumper is not a problem. If there is enough exposed frame ahead of or around the receiver assembly, the # LC68DK can still be mounted frame-to-frame in that area. I recommend measuring the outside-to-outside frame width and checking for enough unobstructed frame flange behind the axles. The kit accommodates roughly 49-5/8" to 76" frame widths, depending on which included crossmember is used.

Do you keep that rear receiver open, or carry bikes/cargo there most trips?
