Will the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW1006 Work With My 2027 Forest River Surveyor Legend 205RKLE?
Published 08/18/2026 >
Question:
Hi, I will be picking up a new 2027 Forest River Legend Surveyor 205 RKLE and looking to buy this unit. My current receiver pin has about 2 1/4 to the tip of the receiver 2 square hole. It was mentioned on the video that this hitch has a 4. Will mine still work? Thanks.

Hello Joe,
Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!
Yes, you'll be good to go with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch # BXW1006. The 4" measurement mentioned in the video does not mean your receiver's hitch pin hole needs to be 4" from the end of the receiver. Your measurement of about 2-1/4" from the hitch pin hole to the end of your 2" receiver will work just fine with the SwayPro.
The # BXW1006 uses a standard 2" shank that slides into your 2" receiver and secures with the hitch pin. As long as your receiver is rated for use with a weight distribution system, you're good to go there.
This is also a great match for your new 2027 Forest River Surveyor Legend 205RKLE. The tongue weight of your Surveyor falls right in the middle of the range for the 1,000 lb spring bars included with # BXW1006, so I would feel confident going with this setup. You'll get the weight distribution you need along with the built-in sway control of the SwayPro.
Congratulations on the new Surveyor! Where are you planning to take it for its first camping trip?
