Question:
I have a 2020 Jeep Trailhawk that has a Roadmaster Base Plates with the U Shaped arms. I am selling the car and someone is asking if arms are available to connect to a Blue Ox Motorhome Hitch. I believe their arms look like three fingers and mine are shaped in a U. It seems most of the inquirers to purchase the car have Blue OX hitches on their Motorhome. What are my options?

Hey Art! It sounds like you have the Roadmaster Direct-Connect # RM-521451-5 on your Cherokee. All anyone with a Blue Ox tow bar needs is the Roadmaster Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Blue Ox RV-Mounted Tow Bars # RO64FR. This will allow the Blue Ox to connect to the Roadmaster.
There is no way to replace the arms on the base plate kit, the different tow bar connectors are the solution. I would either direct anyone that is interested to these, or you could just pick them up and offer them with the sale to make it easier.
Will you be towing a different vehicle behind your motorhome once you sell the Jeep?

Art is on the money. I've been towing for many years, since 2003, and started with the Roadmaster (still have a set) towbar and of course the Roadmaster base plate on my 1st gen Toyota 4Runner. I have gone through 3 4Runners, added the Baseplate to each one, and still have one now. I have used the same style and in fact this is only the 3rd baseplate I have ever needed to buy. I switched a few years ago to the Blue Ox Towbar, but the baseplate never needed to change; in fact have also installed the baseplate on a late 80's era Celica, and even did a custom install on a 93 Lexus SC 300! In all of these cases, I use the Blue Ox and simply swapped the "heads" or ends on the extendable arms of the Towbar to match the Roadmaster style baseplate. Not a big deal; I may have beefed up the quantity of washers/bushings on the connections, I can't recall, but kust a comon sense wear and tear item with the washers. Works fine and safe as always.

The adapters above worked well with my 2015 Wrangler on my motohome with Blue Ox.

I installed the adapters with Roadmaster Base Plates on my 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and they worked great. You must make sure the arms on the hitch are long enough. The base plates on the Trailhawk are 37 1/4 inches apart center to center.
