I want to replace my Coleman Mach 15k ac on my 2023 Grand Design Refection 337rls with a Furrion Chill Cube 18K with integrated heat pump Which black colored variable speed model is best and should it be ducted?

Hello Hal,

Thanks for finally finding a reason to write in!

For your 2023 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS, I would go with the black Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV AC with Heat Pump # FR97TQ, or # FR27TQ if you would like the wall thermostat as well (see attached image). Both are complete 18K Btu ducted systems with the integrated heat pump, air distribution box, and remote.

Since you're replacing a ducted Coleman Mach 15K, you will need the ducted Chill Cube.

I would also pick up a roll of LaSalle Bristol Aluminum HVAC Tape # UT83MR. It's a 3" x 150' temperature-resistant aluminum HVAC tape that works well for sealing up the ductwork and gives the installation a nice, professional finished look and better air flow.

The Chill Cube worked flawlessly. I replaced one of our GE AC units with the Chill Cube prior to our trip to Ga and FL in July. The temps and humidity to say the least was unbearable and the init worked perfect. It kept our 31’ motorhome at a perfect 72deg. and dry as a bone. To say the least it saved our vacation.

Replaced a Colman mach 15000btu with the fire ion chill cube 18000 with heat and love it. It’s in a Grand Design 34’ fifth wheel keeps it comfortable and doesn’t have any problems doing it. Usually using half the power the Coleman did. I’d suggest if you have ducts to replace it with a ducted unit because when running it that way it is much quieter. Plus have the option to use the dump if you want to.
