Replacing a Coleman Mach 15 Power Saver Quiet RV Air Conditioner

Hi Jake!

The direct replacement for your Coleman Mach 48209 0650 would be the Coleman Mach 38209 0650 Mach S 15 Power Saver, but sadly, we don’t carry that unit. With RV air conditioners transitioning to R32 refrigerant, the newer systems also use different components and controls, so I wouldn’t recommend buying one of the new rooftop units expecting it to plug right into your older Coleman Mach Quiet setup.

If you can find the 38209 0650, that would be the simplest way to keep your existing setup. Otherwise, I’d replace the complete system so you know the rooftop unit, controls, and interior components are all designed to work together. If you’d like to stay with Coleman Mach, I’d look at the 18K Mach C Everest, part # CM35MR in white or # CM55MR in black. The Mach C uses an inverter driven variable speed compressor, which is a really nice upgrade from a traditional A/C because it can adjust its output instead of constantly cycling the compressor at full power. That helps with noise, energy use, and those big power demands when the compressor starts just like the power saver.

I’d also be comfortable suggesting a Furrion Chill Cube part # FR87TQ for the non-ducted unit and part # FR97TQ for ducted. if you’re open to another brand. It uses a variable speed compressor as well and has become one of my favorite options when someone is replacing an entire older A/C system rather than just the rooftop unit.

Is your current Coleman Mach connected to ducts throughout the ceiling, or does the air blow directly out underneath the A/C?
