Can the Valterra 24 Gallon RV water tank be mounted vertically?

Question:

can this water tank be used vertically in a home passive solar heating aray, standing on its short, 16 end when full? Valterra RV Water Tank - Non-Toxic - ABS Plastic - 48 x 8 x 16 - 24 Gallons

Thanks for your question Ann. The # R8048 can be mounted in any orientation so there would be no issue with mounting it vertically. You really just want to make sure you have access to one of the pre punched drain locations. There also isn't an issue using this in a home passive solar heating array setup. Of note, this tank is only rated for use in gravity fed systems or with the use of a hand pump.

What purpose would this tank serve in your setup?
