What Rear Anti-Sway Bar Fits a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 w/o a Factory Sway Bar?

Updated 08/04/2026 | Published 07/28/2026

Question:

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0 Liter truck. I also have the 6.5 ft bed and single wheel axle. I also have no rear sway bar set up. Will this model sway bar fit even if I dont have an existing sway bar? Just trying to save some money.

Hi Paul,

The Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-1/8" Diameter Part # HE29YR is not designed to fit a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500, it is actually meant for Arctic/Textron side-by-sides.

If your truck has been lifted 2" to 4", to add a rear anti-sway bar to your truck you can use the Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-1/4" Diameter Part # HE85YR.

If your truck is stock height, you can use the Hellwig Adjustable Big Wig Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-5/16" Diameter
Part # HE56FR.

Both of these kits come with all the U-bolts, hardware, and brackets necessary to install a rear anti-sway bar even if your truck didn't come with a factory sway bar.

What do you usually haul/tow with your truck?

@PaulM The Northern Lite 8-11 EX LE is a nice-looking camper! Whoever designed it did a great job utilizing the space too, much more room for storage and to move around.

Hellwig BigWig on my 2013 GMC Sierra HD Definitely makes for a more controlled ride (with timbrens and Tirklift tie downs) on those two lane back roads in particular. Love my truck and want to be kind to her, so bigwig was this years gift to my set up (2022 Lance 825)

@Lyn Glad to hear it's working out for you! Sounds like the Big Wig was the perfect finishing touch to your setup. Between that, the Timbrens, and the TorkLift tie-downs, it's great to hear your Sierra feels more stable on those back roads.
