How Do I Replace the Lock Cores on the Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System?

Question:

I have this system and it uses three different key cuts from the same blank but it also comes with extra key slots presumably to key everything alike. The promblem is that it is not obvious how to remove the key slot from the various latches. Can you provide guidance?

Hey Skip,

In order to remove the lock cores in your Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System part # Y74ZR you'll need the Yakima Replacement Control Key for Yakima Same Key System part # Y8007835. This will allow you to insert or remove SKS lock cores and change them out to be keyed alike. If you want to have all the locks keyed alike, you can use the Yakima Same Key System Lock Cores part # Y07208, that has 8 lock cores all keyed alike and comes with two keys and the control key needed to remove current lock cores.
