Is There A Plug-And-Play 7-Way Harness For A 2013 Chevy Suburban Z71?

Question:
Hi. My 2013 suburban z71 has had trailer wires some how cut sliced through behind the 7 way pin connector. Is there a plug n play for vehicle harness or would I need to splice connect each wire to a new 7pin harness connector?

Hey Ben, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, there isn't a plug-and-play replacement harness for the 7-way on your 2013 Suburban. If the wiring behind the connector has been cut, the repair is to reconnect the existing wires or replace the damaged section of wiring. I recommend using heat-shrink butt connectors, so you end up with a waterproof, long-lasting repair instead of just twisting wires together.
If the 7-way socket itself was damaged, you can replace it with the Curt # C55774, but you'll still need to splice the truck's wiring into the new socket. Take your time matching each wire to the correct function, and once it's all back together, test each circuit before hooking up a trailer. Done with good, sealed connections, it'll be just as reliable as it was before the wires were damaged.
What kind of trailer do you tow with the Suburban?
