do you carry a 1.25 od spindle wear sleeve? for a 1 1/16 id bearing

Hey James!

No, we do not have an individual spindle wear sleeve for a 1-1/4" spindle and 1-1/16" inner diameter bearing. We do instead have Spindle Grease Seal Set for L44649 Inner Bearing and 1.980 Bearing Buddy # BB60005 that includes the 1.0645" (1-1/16") wear sleeve that you're looking for, but it has grease seals included which you may not need just yet. Your measurements are spot on, but you'll want to confirm that you have L44649 bearings on your axle just to have absolute confirmation that this is the right one for you. This setup is the standard size for a 3,500 lbs. axle.

What kind of trailer are you maintaining here? If you send over your axle information, I can confirm that it will work that way as well.

2016 triton 18tx boat trailer. The seal ring on the boat now are 1.25” od and the the seal is 1.98 od and 1.25 Id. And uses L44649 bearings

@JamesB Perfect, the # BB60005 is exactly what you're needing then! Do you use the 2016 triton 18TX for fishing or just strolling on the water?

@JerryB Ok so the sleeve is just a little thicker walled than the original and the seal is changed to match the new od of the thicker sleeve. Thanks!

My 25 year old 16 foot trailer hauls a 14 foot John boat. I bought that kit because the spindle was set up for Bearing Buddies. However, the wear sleeve was too thick. I simply discarded it and used everything else. All components went to place and the seals appear to be working just fine.

I volunteer at a Christian camp and service a good number of hubs, so I lose track. 95% are 3,500 lb axles, but there are some that are lighter, and some that are 7,000 lb. Honestly, it was the strangest profiled spindle I've ever seen. I resolved to sell the rig before I have to do those again. It wasn't hard, procedure-wise. It was being sure I have all I needed to mount & seal the hubs. There was a lingering 1% doubt, even when I was done and checked it out.

I used the L44649 on a Smocker Craft trailer. This was asking close locking as I could find. With surprise they were a mach to the ones I removed because they were worn out. If you have to get something that comes with something you don't need, sooner or later you will. Good luck
