How Do the Screw Install on the Tie Down Marine Slides for Boat Trailer Bunks?

Where do the screws go in at? the top or the side. And if on top, how do they not run the chance of hitting the bottom of the boat eventually? I have an alumacraft 1650 aluminum boat and I would be concerned the screws would hit eventually as the boat sits mostly flat on the boards.

Great question Stephen, happy to help!
The screws will go through the top of the Tie Down Marine Slides # TD99FR. The slides have countersunk mounting holes, so the screw heads sit flush with the surface of the slides after installing.
As for contacting the boat, the screws are sized for standard 2x4 bunk boards, so when installed correctly they won't go through the bunk far enough to hit the hull. These slides are made specifically for fiberglass, painted and aluminum boats.
Are you replacing carpeted bunks, or installing new bunk boards?
