Question:

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2 Part Number: C15312 I recently purchased and installed this hitch on my 1ton Dually. Which locking pin will fit this hitch? I was looking at the weigh safe pin, but it has 2 options for the length and Im not sure which one to get. I would prefer the shorter one so it doesnt get in the way of the chain hooks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks P.S. I love the hitch by the way, it looks very sharp from the back of the truck. Im getting ready to tow a 12,000 lb trailer in the next week or two and am very excited.

Hey Shane, the correct size Weigh Safe locking hitch pin for the Curt hitch part # C15312 would be the Weigh Safe locking pin part # WS54CR. This has a usable span of 3-7/16" which will be long enough to fit but not so long that it would get in the way of the safety chain loops. I attached a picture of it used on a similar hitch but it's one that has thinner sidewalls so it would fit tighter on your hitch. That's a pretty heavy trailer! Are you excited to see how your truck does with it or just that you're headed somewhere fun?
