Question:
I am in the process of purchasing an Outdoors Adventure F26RKS 5th wheel with frame integrated 2-in receiver hitch. I am interested in purchasing a Rocky Mounts Guiderail, 2 bike bike rack. I will be carrying to analog bikes with 30 inch handlebars. The measurements seem to work for the guide rail, but I noted your specifications page said no for travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes. I would like your thoughts on this. Thanks Doug

Hey Doug!
The RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # RKY97ZR will not work on your Outdoors Adventure F26RKS 5th wheel trailer. The RV, fifth wheel, and travel trailer rating for bike racks is crucial because of the difference in ride on these different vehicles is much harsher than the ride on a standard-sized vehicle. The weight of a bike rack combined with the distance from the rear axle, you'll have a lot of movement, sort of like a seesaw, on the bike rack and the hitch.
For your fifth wheel, I recommend the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric VFR Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # LGA25VR. This one is rated for all applications and is a platform mount similar to the Guiderail. You can haul bikes up to 80 lbs. each with this rack and it includes a ramp for easy-on and easy-off loading and unloading so if you ever decide to make the switch to electric bikes, you won't need to upgrade the rack!
Where are you planning on riding? Is it just local campsite parks or do you have any adventures planned on your bikes?
