Hi Mike,

Thank you for your questions! I'm happy to help.

I wish there were an easy way to tell you exactly which replacement bearings you need, but AL-KO 4,400 lb axles can be a bit tricky.

AL-KO was known for using several different bearing combinations rather than one standard bearing pack. The Dexter Bearing Kit for 4.4K Axles - Inner and Outer Bearings LM67048/L68149 # DX86ER that you asked about is designed for Dexter 4,400 lbs axles and includes an LM67048 outer bearing.

However, we've also seen AL-KO 4,400 lbs axles that use the Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and AL-KO Axles - 3,500 lbs with #84 Spindle # BK2-100, which includes an L44649 outer bearing commonly found on 3,500 lbs axles.

The best way to determine the correct kit is to remove one hub and inspect the bearings. If the bearing numbers are still legible, they will be etched into the bearings themselves. There may also be a part number cast into the face of the hub that we can use to identify the correct replacement components.

If you can send me the bearing numbers or the hub part number, I'd be happy to help you find the right kit.

Once you've finished the maintenance, do you have any trips planned with your 2015 Keystone Outback?
