Question:

Hi there, I have a 2016 infiniti QX60 with 3.5” aerospace roof bars. I’m trying to find compatible clamps set for a Thule Adventurer I got from a friend. What I got was a single bolt per plastic c-clamp which seems too weak for this setup. The Thule has several holes of which many look standard and others drilled by the owner. TIA!

Welcome back Eric. The Replacement QM3 - Quick Mount Hardware item # TH04997 is the only option available to replace the mounting hardware on a Adventurer Cargo Box. It'll work with crossbars up to 3-1/2" wide.

The difference with Replacement QM3 item # TH04997 system compared to the original mounting system is that this kit has the swing-away brackets underneath the crossbars. When the knobs are loosened you are able to swing the bracket away from one of the bolts under the crossbars and remove the cargo box.

I attached a picture below from the installation instructions that'll show you how the Replacement QM3 item # TH04997 attaches to the crossbars.
