Hello, im trying to clarify all I need. My truck is a 2024 Ram 3500 HO diesel, DRW, long bed 4wd. I was told I will need a 48” hitch extension I was told the factory hitch needs replacement. I was told there are specific hold downs needed for all of this. Can you help? Thank you,

Hey Dan, you would need to install a Torklift SuperHitch part # TLD1111-30 on your 2024 Ram 3500 to allow you to be able to use a hitch extender that is 48 inches long like the # TLE1548. You really just need these two things unless you are also have a truck bed camper and need new rear tie downs as well? Using the Superhitch does change the fit of the rear tie downs.
Since most of the time people need hitch extenders this long because of truck bed campers I'll assume that's what you have so you would need the # TLR3510 as well.

we have installed both of the items you are talking about on our 2023 ram DW. Yes you will need to remove the bumper and unbolt the bed. Except for the two bolts up by the cab. The instructions that come with the hitch are exactly what you need to do. Make sure you only loosen the two front bolts by the cab because it holds the bed in place and keeps it from sliding forward as you raise the rear up of the up. You will need to remove the factory hitch as well. The factory hitch is placed aside because you no longer need it. Don’t raise the rear of the bed to high or it will hit the back of the cab. This install took my wife and I about 3 hours.
