Replacing Factory Trailer Hitch to Install TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Hitch on 2019 Ram 3500

Hi. I really want to add the Superhitch trailer hitch from Torklift to my 2019 Ram 3500. Does the factory hitch get removed first or? Do you have any insight on how that's done? Thanks.

Yes, in order to install the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLD1111-30 on your 2019 Ram 3500 you will need to first remove the factory trailer hitch. On the new Ram trucks this does require a bit of an effort but unlike previous models where the hitch was actually integrated into the frame, it is possible.

My contact at TorkLift said that you will first need to unbolt the factory hitch from the frame, and then actually unbolt the bed from the truck. You will then have to jack up the bed to provide enough clearance to actually remove the factory hitch.

The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum will provide you with stacked receivers (2-1/2" on top and 2" on bottom) along with a robust 20,000 pound towing weight capacity.
