Question:

Im looking to buy a bag kit. Im looking at this product Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear Part Number: AL60769 My question it will it work on my 04 Yukon XL with a 6inch rough country lift? I lifted my truck about 2 years ago and need something that will work with the lift.

Hello Jim,

Thanks for writing in, I'm glad you found us!

I did some digging, and the 6 inch Rough Country lift uses replacement rear coil springs rather than the factory rear coils. Since the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60769 install inside the rear coil springs, I can't confirm they'll fit with the aftermarket coils. Rough Country doesn't publish the inside dimensions of their replacement springs, and Air Lift only confirms fitment with factory-style rear coils.

If you can measure the inside diameter of one of your rear coil springs, I'd be happy to reach out to my contact at Air Lift to see if the # AL60769 will work with your setup. Once I have that measurement, I should be able to get you a definite answer.

What are you looking to tow that you need the extra support?

Hello - I installed these about 1 1-2 yrs ago on my 1013 GMC YUKON XL with two speed 4x4 - I was experiencing rear sag towing my 21 scrawl trailer even with an equalizing hitch. I installed these air lift springs with just a little difficulty getting them inside the rear coils and added 35 psi. And have not touched them since and have been EXTREMELY pleased with them! No more rear sag with or without the trailer in tow!

@JohnB Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, John! I'm glad to hear the air springs have completely eliminated your rear sag, even while towing with a weight distribution hitch. It's also great to know they've held their pressure for over a year with no adjustments. Thanks for the update, and safe travels!
