Does Etrailer sell a wheel strap for a Swagman Escapee bike rack? The Swagman SKU is P496. The straps used to be yellow, but now they are black.

John, yes, we do! The correct replacement is the Replacement Wheel Strap is # S33YR for Swagman Escapee Bike racks like part # S85SR and Semi Bike Racks. This is the current replacement for Swagman part number P496.

If you're wondering about the color, Swagman has updated the wheel straps from yellow to black over the years, but the black version is the correct replacement and is designed to fit all Swagman Escapee and Semi bike racks that use this style of strap. So there's no need to worry if it looks a little different from your original one.

Easily installed replacing the torn old ones. I replaced both straps with new ones. There is a very small screw that you tighten up once you have new one in place. I think I contacted eTrailer about the size and type of screwdriver needed. Sorry can’t remember what size this actually was. Hope this helps!

John, you will not be disappointed with that swag man bike rack for two bikes. The straps are perfect and I have been buying parts from a trailer for sometime. I trust them and they all have been super nice and always willing to help to get the correct parts plus their customer service skills are awesome. Feel very comfortable dealing with everyone at the company. Anytime I have a question it’s always answered and I have no other questions, and please don’t hesitate to ask them. John, one more, they are very easy to replace. There’s a little screw and nut is all it takes very simple.
