Looking to have the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty installed and not sure which to purchase. How do I tell which of these I should get? RAS3622-SLHD or RAS3611-SHD

Thanks for writing in, great question!

For your 2024 Ford F-350, the correct RoadActive Suspension kit depends on whether your truck has the factory top overload spring on the rear leaf spring pack.

If your truck has the factory top overload spring, you'll want the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Super Heavy Duty, # RAS3611-SLHD. If it does not have the factory top overload spring, the correct kit is the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Super Heavy Duty, # RAS3611-SHD.

I've included a picture showing what a factory top overload spring looks like. The overload spring sits above the main leaf spring pack and is separate from the primary leaves. Comparing your truck's rear suspension to the picture is usually the quickest way to determine which kit you need. If you are still not sure, please feel free to respond directly to the email you receive with a picture of your leaf springs, I am happy to take a look.

Thanks Kate...appreciate the always quick responses! Turns out that I do have the top overload spring...so would going with the # RAS3611-SLHD. Am I losing any tongue weight support by replacing the overload spring with this kit? Current tongue weight rating is 3390 lbs, would like to keep this or add to it to help reduce the sage with the 5th wheel.

@RossL My please Ross! Yes, if your F-350 has the factory top overload spring, then the correct kit is # RAS3611-SLHD. You won't lose any support from the factory overload spring because the RoadActive Suspension system works with your existing suspension and does not replace or remove the overload spring. It also does not reduce your truck's payload, pin weight, or towing ratings. Since your goal is to reduce sag when towing your fifth wheel, the # RAS3611-SLHD is exactly the kit I would recommend. It is designed for trucks with the factory overload spring and will help provide additional rear suspension support to reduce squat and improve stability while towing.
