Does BAK Revolver part # BAK85VR Fit Long Bed 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 LS

Updated 06/23/2026 | Published 06/17/2026

Question:

Your installation only takes into account length 8 and a 2000 Silverado 1500. Does this fit a 2000 Silverado 2500 LS with an 8foot bed, actual opening is 96-1/2?

Hey Richard, yes the the BAK tonneau cover part # BAK85VR is for sure a fit for your 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 long bed. Does your truck have the round or square front end? The Silverado generally has the rounder look whereas the C/K was more square.

So I wanted to add a photograph because you asked me a rounded vs. a square corner question. I do not see that option here. I would call it square, in a plan view and square in a back looking forward view on the inside edge of the bed. If you are talking the front of the bed, it has a square top, just as it does on the sides. Also I guess you would have to show me a picture of rounded, but the answer is square corners. The width in the Tailgate/back of the bed is 61-13/16", and in the front it is 63-1/2" at the cab. As I provided previously the closed tailgate dimension is 96-1/2".

@Richard yeah we don't have ability to upload pictures in comments quite yet. I was referring to the front end of the truck but I wasn't clear enough. Basically the older style Chevy trucks in 2000 were very square up front and the new Silverado that was in 2000 had a rounder look. Either way it doesn't matter as the cover fits both but I was just curious.

Because of you part number changes, for your ordering systems convenience, leaking you providing the manufacturers part number to aid me in responsibly understanding what I am purchasing, I purchased this from a competitor. I could personally, and responsibly identify that I was purchasing the correct part from their site. This is the fourth item I have bought from a competitor because your replies are to slow, and I personally cannot identify if I am waisting my time ordering the wrong part, you need to include mfg. PN in addition to your own as a cross-reference, or you are going to loose more of my business, or give me a phone number and a guy/gal, I am handicapped and I have to hire a typist to play this email/texting/q&a game. I am sort of training my typest typest to be a cross reference expert, like myself. Please tell me why we play this educational game? Does it sound like I'm disappointed?

@Richard You can always call into our customer service line to talk to someone on the phone. 1-800-940-8924 I am messaging you back on this page because that's the department I work in and this is how you initially reached out to us. On our product page if you scroll down to the section right above where all the related products are you can see the original manufacturer part number there. Hopefully that will help instead of us trying to help you and then you feeling like you have enough info to go and buy what you need from someone else.
