Can The B&W Patriot Fit A Truck With The Factory Puck System?

Updated 06/18/2026 | Published 06/16/2026

Question:

I have a patriot BandW hitch with rails in my current truck. My new truck has the puck system. What do I need to get to change it over?

Welcome back Brian!

While there may be a way to adapter your B&W Patriot to your new truck, I will need to know what the year, make, and model of it. Bed size wouldn't hurt as well.

@BrianS Thanks for that. So you will not actually be able to use your Patriot with your new truck. The Curt Adapter Rails - Ford and Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C88KR cannot be used with the Patriot Slider due to spacing, unfortunately, and it is the only adapter we currently have for this truck. With that said, you would need to switch to something like the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3710 (or the 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3715). Either of these will fit directly into those pucks and will not need any kind of adapter. It's the way I would go.
