Question:

I have 2007 Chevrolet silverado 1500 4.8l that i use for hauling a 20 ft trailer and the temperature on my transmission gets up over 200. I need to know what I can do to cool my transmission temperature down

Hi Elgrie!

If your transmission is getting up to 200 degrees while towing, I definitely recommend getting an auxiliary cooler. You're not in the danger zone (anything above 230 degrees would be), but you are getting pretty warm. With that said, I would go with the following parts:

You didn't mention whether you had the New Body or the Classic Body, but these parts will actually fit both styles with the 4.8l engine option, so you are good to go no matter which you have. The Series 9000 is going to be the most efficient cooler we carry for your truck and should get you down around the normal operating temperatures while you are towing. You towing temp will always be higher than your not towing temp, but this will absolutely help.
