Hi Jon,

Thanks for providing the part numbers. That makes it much easier to verify everything. At this time, the black FreshJet 3 air conditioner is the only version we currently carry, part # DMC94JF. I am not seeing the white FreshJet 3 model FJX3573MWHCS available through us right now.

We do carry the controller and thermostat kit you're looking for as part # DMC83ZR. If you happen to go with the black FreshJet, we also have the matching black controller kit available as part # DMC63ZR. We also carry the SmartStart module you referenced as part # DMC87RR, which is designed to help reduce startup power demands and provide smoother compressor starts.

Based on the part numbers you've provided, the thermostat kit and SmartStart are the correct accessories to pair with a FreshJet 3 system. The only item I'm currently unable to match is the white FreshJet 3 air conditioner itself.

Out of curiosity, what rig are you outfitting, and is the white unit important because you're trying to match the roof or existing trim?

Thanks Heather! Yes, i have mostly white trim. My rig is a 2011 Coachmen Armada 29DS. Replacing the original front A/C unit which is an early Dometic Brisk Air II model. Both the condenser and control board show bad voltages and current draws when tested. Note my rig is ducted so I'm keeping the existing vent assembly in place. That said, the price is right for me to overlook the color mismatch. I could just spray paint the new cover white!

@JonB That all makes sense. If the condenser and control board are both showing bad readings, I'd be leaning toward replacement as well, especially on an older Brisk Air II. You can absolutely paint an RV air conditioner shroud if you'd like to match the color a little better. The biggest thing is taking the time to prep it correctly so the paint actually sticks and holds up to years of sun exposure. I'd remove the shroud, clean it really well, and lightly scuff the surface with fine sandpaper. After that, use a primer or adhesion promoter made for plastic, followed by a few light coats of paint designed for plastic surfaces. To help keep it from fading or peeling over time, I'd finish it off with a UV resistant clear coat. That is how I would do it, so that you are not surprised by peeling paint later down the road.
