Question:
I have a 2026 Honda Passport Trailsport and I have a Rockwood Freedom 2318g pop up camper. After hooking it up and loading everything down I have around 380-400 pounds of tongue weight, which is causing the rear of my passport to sag very badly. What weight distribution hitch do you guys recommend for that set up? I would prefer ones with chains. Thanks!

Glad you reached out Trevor, happy to help!
For your Passport and Rockwood Freedom 2318G, I'd recommend the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW0550. Your loaded tongue weight of 380-400 lbs falls right within its 350 to 550 lb tongue weight range, making it a great fit for restoring ride height and reducing rear end sag. That's important because a properly sized weight distribution hitch will transfer weight more effectively than one that's oversized.
The chain style bars have built in sway control, a quiet ride, easy hookup, and allows backing up without disconnecting the system. Overall, it's one of our favorite weight distribution hitches for SUV and camper combinations like yours.
Do you typically tow the 2318G on highways and paved roads or do you get into rougher campground?

I have the same WDS and two with a 2016 Tacoma - two a T@B 400 by nuCamp. We had a lot of sag too when we were using our Highlander to tow the trailer. It disappeared once we added the WDS by Blue Ox. And now that we pretty much only use our Tacoma - all sway is gone! Great system for both vehicles.
