The numbers on your current gas shock indicate a force rating of 50 Newtons, which is about 11 lbs of force.
The JR Products Gas Shock # 372-5300-20 we carry is rated for 20 lbs of force, so it is much stronger than the shock you currently have.
Gas shocks should match the length and the force rating of the original part. The 20 lb shock would provide significantly more resistance and assistance than the original. The screen door may open more forcefully, require more effort to close, and place additional stress on the door, hinges, and mounting brackets.
How is the current shock performing compared to what you'd like it to do?

Thank you. The current shock was performing just fine, but unfortunately, a strong wind caught the door, and the end broke off. Hence, the need for replacement. Do you have an equivalent shock? Thanks.
