Question:

Hello will the Kuat Class 2 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Fixed Arms - Clamp On fit on factory installed crossbars for a 2026 Hyundai Tucson. If not these ones, do you have any recommendations. The cross bars are wide and somewhat oddly shaped and I have already tried the Malone Downloader, but those did not fit. Thank you.

Hey Stephen, thanks for reaching out. The Kuat Class 2 Kayak Roof Rack # C2R1B will fit really any crossbar up to 3-1/2" wide and 2" tall. The Malone DownLoader # MPG114MD also fits crossbars up to 3-1/2" wide so if that didn't work with your Hyundai factory bars due to the width, its unlikely the Kuat Class 2 would work either.

Honestly, virtually all of the clamp-on kayak carriers we offer have that same 3-1/2" bar width limitation.

One exception is the Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rack # KU53VR. This fits crossbars up to 4-1/4" wide and 2" tall, so that may be an option depending on your crossbar size.

Can you tell me the approximate width and height of the bars on your Tucson? Do the crossbars have a top channel/T-track?

hello,I would highly recommend the Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rock with Tie-Downs-J-Style Folding. 1st Very Universal Mounting system, 2nd the pricing is better than the competitor's. I love that the lock and key was included. I traveled up and down Interstate 95 over 2,000 with No issues at all. Very reliable. I hope this helps! Mark
