Question:
I have a small travel trailer and usually camp at older campgrounds with weak water pressure. Will this still turn on if the pressure is low?

Good question, Don. The Dylux RV Tankless Water Heater # DY54FR is designed to start with water pressure as low as 14.5 PSI, and its listed operating range is 14.5 PSI to 58 PSI. This is more forgiving than some other heaters on the market. That helps if you camp at older parks where the water pressure is on the weak side.
That said, tankless heaters still need steady flow to keep heating properly. If your shower already pulses when you’re running off the fresh tank, I’d check the pump, filter screens, and any water pressure regulator before assuming the heater is the issue. If you don’t already use one on the campground side, I’d add the Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator w/ Gauge - Brass # CAM40064 so you can monitor incoming pressure and keep it in a safe range for the RV. Also keep in mind that tankless heaters can have a short delay before hot water reaches the faucet, which matters more when you’re boondocking and trying to conserve water.
Don, are you mostly on campground water, or do you use your onboard pump more often?

Oh cool. My atwood old tank unit wouldn't work well under like 40 psi. Usually it's not an issue but it was at one lot. Just figured I'd ask. Nice for peace of mind.
