Does The New Dylux Tankless Water Heater For RVs Run On 120V Electric Or Just Propane?

Question:

Does this Dylux tankless water heater DY54FR run on 120 volt electric too, or is it propane only? My current Suburban is gas/electric.

Hi Karen! The Dylux RV Tankless Water Heater # DY54FR uses LP propane to heat the water and 12V DC power for the ignition, controls, and safety systems. It does not have a 120V electric heating element like your current gas/electric Suburban tank water heater.

When converting from a gas/electric tank heater to tankless, that old 120V AC heating-element circuit would not power this unit. You’ll want to shut off water, propane, and electric before removing the old heater, then connect the Dylux to a proper 12V DC source rated for the unit’s 3-amp draw. If you aren't comfortable, I recommend checking out our installer locator to help you out :) https://www.etrailer.com/installer/near-me

What kind of RV is it?
