Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace A Dometic AC Unit From 2019?

Question:

Is the Cube a direct replacement for my 2019 Dometic : fit the roof opening with out making a larger opening? Is the Cube compatible with my Dometic 13,000 AC ONLY DUCTLESS.

Hey Eddie, thanks for reaching out. You can use the Chill Cube to replace your 2019 Dometic unit, but it is not a direct plug-in replacement. It will mean replacing your entire AC system - rooftop unit, controller, distribution box and thermostat. Reason being these Chill Cube units, and all new AC units, use a new R32 refrigerant. Your older Dometic unit uses R410a refrigerant, and these new units are not backwards compatible with old AC systems. They won't communicate with each other correctly. The Chill Cube is only compatible with other Chill Cube components.

That said, we do offer the Chill Cube as a complete AC system. For that I recommend the following:

- Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ductless - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR87TQ

This comes with everything you need to replace/upgrade your AC. The 18K Chill Cube will be a major improvement from your old system. It will cool more efficiently and effectively all while pulling less power than your old unit. I think you'll be very happy with it, especially if you camp in a lot of warmer climates. The heat pump is a bonus too.

Do you usually camp on hookups or off-grid, and in very hot areas?

Jessie, t Thank you for your message, however, i decided to go with the Dometic 15.5 btu. As it will be easier to install.and increase my cooling capacity from our current system. Best regards, Eddie
