Question:
I’ve got a 2018 Grand Design Imagine and the old roof AC is finally done. I’m looking at the Furrion Chill HE 15K manual system in black, part FR75TD. Is this a good choice if I just want simple ceiling controls and don’t want to mess with a wall thermostat? I don't want to cut hole in wall and run wires etc. thanks. sometimes less is more.

Hey Darius! Yes, I agree sometimes less is more, and easier! The Furrion Chill HE # FR75TD is a good fit if you want a straightforward manual-control setup instead of messing with a wall thermostat. This is a complete 15,000 Btu system with the rooftop unit and manual air distribution box included, so it helps take some of the compatibility guesswork out of the job.
The included air distribution box gives you your controls right at the ceiling, which is nice if you prefer simple knobs instead of wiring in a wall thermostat. It can be used for a ducted or ductless setup, and the removable filters make routine cleaning pretty simple too.
A couple other details worth knowing: it runs on 115V power, has a 15.4-amp running draw, uses 12 AWG wiring, and includes a start capacitor to help the compressor get going when voltage is low or campground power is being pulled hard. If you want a little electric heat later, it can also be used with the optional Furrion heat strip # FR35SR.
What AC brand and control style do you have on the Imagine now, Darius?
