Question:

We have a 2026 Kia Sorento with a 7 flat receptacle and our trailer is a 4 flat. The picture of the Wesbar Agricultural Tractor 7-Way Blade to 4-Way Flat Adapter - 30 Part Number: WE48FR seems to be the product, but i cannot tell from the angle of the pic. I can send you a pic of the Sorento connection to be sure we get the right product, along with a tow hitch and ball.

Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out. We do have an adapter you can use to plug a 4-flat connector into the 7-way on your 2026 Kia Sorento. For that I recommend the following:

This is a simple adapter that plugs into the 7-way and allows you to plug a 4-flat into the other end. You are dealing with the two most common/standard trailer connectors, so you don't need anything special.

That Wesbar # WE48FR you mentioned does have the same connections. but its a 30' cord so you'd be dealing with a ton of extra cord you wouldn't need, plus it's way more expensive than what you need. That thing is typically only used for agricultural applications. All you need here is a simple plug-in adapter.

As far as a ball mount, what I recommend is the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR. It fits a standard 2" hitch receiver, it has both a 2" and 2-5/16" ball which are also standard. It has an adjustable channel with 6" of rise and drops so it can accommodate really any trailer regardless of coupler height. The 10K capacity will cover anything you could tow with your Sorento too. Just a really solid, versatile, price-friendly option.
