Question:

I need to move my Prodigy P2 brake controller, which I purchased from etrailer.com, from my previous vehicle to the one I currently use. i need the installation instructions for a 2006 Ford Explorer. The most important issue is the location of the pigtail plug on the vehicle end. If someone can tell me the exact location of the instructions or answer my question, the information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

The Ford Explorer has a 6-pin connector behind the glove box on the passenger's side.

The port behind the glove box is shown in the video of the Trailer Brake Controller Installation on 2004 Ford Explorer that I have included. You can see it at the 4 minute 5 second mark.

You don't 't mention what your old vehicle is so you may not have the correct wiring adapter, which is # 3035P. This adapter requires no hardwiring and is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.
