Can Tow Bar Wiring 6-Way Socket Attach to Front Bumper of Ford Maverick

Question:

I have this baseplate installed on my 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat. The Air Force one connector was screwed directly into the baseplate. However, the mounting bracket for the 6 pin did not allow for this so it is mounted to the front bumper plastic. As you can imagine it’s not super secure. I was wondering if etrailer had a recommendation for mounting this to the baseplate itself?

Hey Michael, we don't have a way to attach your 6-pin to your base plate kit. Typically it will attach to the front bumper similar to what you have now and that will work just fine. It does look like yours is mounted properly though. Does it seem like it could come off?

Unfortunately it is not that stable and will likely need replacement. I am going to explore fabrication of a metal bracket that can attach to the 6 pin mount and secure it to the base plate.
