Dual Motor Landing Gear Set to Replace Single Motor Setup on RV
Updated 06/15/2026 | Published 04/20/2026 >
Question:
Landing shear pin broke. I would like to replace the single motor unit with a dual motor landing gear system. Can you recommend one for me? Thanks. Ray

Hey Raymond, we have the Ultra Fab dual motor electric landing gear set part # UF17-943010 which would work great to replace what you have. Most likely the mounting tabs would not match what this was designed for and you'd have to weld on new ones which are included with this kit. These will be much quicker than what you have now. What brand do you have currently?

I replaced my landing gear with that model last year and they are amazing. Significantly faster and stronger than the manufacturer provided equipment.

I have been very happy with mine. I have them on a 13 thousand pound bunk house. They are significantly stronger than the originals. Ultimately allowing me to move them up and down quicker. Mine are independent and I can level my front end independently.

I put these jacks on my eagle ht and they are great. Did have to remove the motor from the jack to get them in place and grind a little off the frame. Once they were in and wired they have worked perfectly.

When I chose to go this route I did some excessive checking and discovered what I had in mind was going to work, my 35’ Heartland came with a single drive landing gear setup, don’t know bout you but do you know how frustrating it can get to get your landing gear set and trailer level when on uneven terrain, the landing gear with it’s own motor mounted perfectly in the existing brackets on trailer, here’s where the big change came! Where the switch is for the landing gear’s operation I replaced it with an independent left/right switch, what used to oh 30 minutes to level side to side front to back only takes less than 5 minutes I am sure glad I went this route, why would the manufacture not go this route is beyond me

The measurements between the bottome of hangers A & B is 13.5" on the motor side and 13" on the passive side. What does that mean? Will it work. If not how can I reweld if the top hanger might be in the way at 13". Please advise.
