Hello Sue, thanks for reaching out. For that Thomas Payne RV Jackknife Sofa # TP26KR, the cushions are made from high-density foam, not springs or air cores.

That foam is built to be pretty firm so it can work both as a seat and as a sleeping surface when it folds flat, so it’s more supportive than plush.

As far as thickness, they don’t list it as a simple “X inches thick,” for that model but based on the specs, and other models I've seen the seat cushion thickness is around 6".

So real-world, it’s a firm, medium-thickness foam cushion, not super thick like a residential couch, but designed to hold up and double as a bed without sagging.
