When the day winds down, this sofa turns small spaces into easy nights. Fold it flat in seconds for a quick nap or space for the kids to sleep, then flip it back in the morning to get your seating back.
When space matters, your furniture should keep things simple. This jackknife sofa folds flat in 3 quick steps without heavy mechanisms or separate cushions to stash. Lift the seat, pull it forward, and press down until it's flat. The padded backrest becomes part of a smooth sleeping surface, and there's open floor space below the frame for storing bedding or small totes. When morning comes, flip it back up and reclaim your seating in seconds. This size is a great option for smaller campers or kids who need their own sleeping space. If you like this style but want more room for two adults, check out the 74" version in the same Funhouse Silver color (TP66KR).
This sofa ships in manageable sections that fit through narrow RV doors, so you can bring it inside without scuffs or struggle. Once in place, bolt the hinges, tighten the included hardware, and you're ready to sit back. It's a lightweight, durable design made for smaller rigs and travelers who want to make every inch count.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're looking at our Thomas Payne RV Jackknife sofa. It's a two seat jackknife. It can fold down and it measures 56 inches long overall. Now the manufacturers call this a fun house silver color, I would call a light grayish white, that kind of thing.
From the top down, you can see a little bit better of that design and just the material itself and everything. It's actually really smooth and nice. I did notice, depending on the lighting, depending on the angle here in the studio, it does look a little bit different on the shade of the color from the lighting. So just keep that in mind. Again, this will be great for you if you need some extra space.
It converts down to a bed in three simple steps. Normally, once it's installed, you would lift up the base, pull a little bit forward, and then the back's just gonna fold down flat. Keep in mind, I don't have this mounted to anything, so I'm just kind of manipulating it here for your viewing pleasure. There we go. So, nice and flat.
I did measure this beforehand. Keep in mind you have cushion that can move and everything. So I got around 43 inches on a width on the siding. So check out that measurement, make sure it's gonna work for you in your area. Now, coming from the side, I do wanna show you these brackets that come with it.
They're very simple to install. There's just two nuts that come off the bottom and then two on the back and that's the brackets. And then from here underneath, you can't see it there, but there's holes going straight down and that's what you would assemble into like your box area. I would basically, this would more likely be a replacement sofa. Here's some customer images of their installs after they put theirs in. Top left, you can kind of see they put one like this, not the same exact one, over, I believe this was a custom box that they had made. And they have a pullout drawer there underneath it. And in the bottom right photo, you can see that the factory had on their slide out there, a different one that was a little bit longer than the one they put in there, but they used that same base and bolted this on top of that. So that's what you're gonna be doing, you're gonna replace something that's already there. Or, you're gonna match it up as close as possible with those measurements that we talked about before, and that's what you're gonna be doing to make this mount. Because again, there is no cross member or anything that goes all the way across. You just have a left hand and a right hand bracket that will bolt to the jackknife itself. Now this is a low maintenance as far as keep taking care of 'em. Water's gonna beat up on this upholstery finish here, and it's gonna come right off, and it's resistant to stains and those kind of things. And obviously your brackets are powder coated, so you're not have to worry about rust or anything like that as well. Folks, I think that's gonna wrap up our quickly together at this Thomas Pane Silver Jackknife sofa. Again, 56 inches long. I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
