Hello Matt,

Thank you for writing in. I would not want to have to torque that hitch ball down either, especially on a setup this heavy.

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System # BXW2000 does come with a 2-5/16" hitch ball already installed, so you are good to go right out of the box. That means no extra purchase and no worrying about getting the torque just right on a separate ball. It is set up from the factory to match the system’s 20,000 lb gross towing weight and 2,000 lb tongue weight capacity.

This really helps take the guesswork out of things and gives you more confidence when hooking up, since you know the ball is properly installed and ready for a heavy tongue weight without extra adjustment on your end.

What kind of camper do you have, and where is your favorite place to camp? Also, what is your loaded tongue weight? I want to make sure you are getting into a system that is going to give you optimal performance.

Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control for 2-1/2" Hitch - 20K GTW, 2K TW I have this set up and love it. I've been an RV transporter out of Indiana for over a year and have used this hitch on multiple travel trailers. This system goes on and off with ease, Highly recommended.

@Forrest Thanks for the response, Forrest! I was really excited to hear from an RV transporter. I help run trainings here, and during our weight distribution class we often mention that transporters prefer this system because the bars are interchangeable and can handle a wide range of weights. I knew a lot of you use it, but it’s great to hear that firsthand.

Hey Matt, I received my hitch head assembly a couple years back and the ball came pre torqued (although I torqued it anyway myself) and it’s been a great unit. I mounted it to my Geny-Y hitch torsion -Flex Boss mount and I’ve pulled my 12,000 lbs Work-n-Play toy hauler from Florida to Michigan to Missouri and back about 7 trips and I use it for towing my 16’ iron bull dump trailer and 28’ car hauler as well as a 28’ enclosed trailer. I wanted to not worry about getting close to the tongue weight limits and this unit definitely does that. I keep mine wiped down and covered with a towel and a large tote. Keeps it clean and makes inspection easy to do. I like over kill when it comes to hitch and towing equipment and I’m extremely happy with this unit. The weight distribution is very strong and easy to use but when unloading the tension off the chains, make sure you have a good grip on the wrench tool and make sure you have a clear path to let it spin out as it’s going to try to twist pretty quickly and strongly. ( I can’t say enough great things about the Gen-Y hitch assembly… best money I’ve ever spent on bumper hauling equipment). Hope this is helpful information. Spencer
